Very good 360 sales in America. Around 5 million 360s sold in America every year. The XBox  total of 25 million should be passed by XBox 360's America total next year.

Good improvement for MS over Xbox.

Their sales spread is horribly skewed, though. If you added US/UK together that would surely amount for a massive ratio of their sales - I'd say not only have MS got to expand to more casual gamers via Natal, but into non-English speaking territories too.

Mind you, I suspect they're aware of that.

I really don't see PS3 regaining US for Sony this gen, that's for sure.

Goes to show the grip they have on that NA market.

Even the original Xbox had a decent presence in NA. The one year head start locked the shooter/Madden crowd to the Xbox brand and these are the biggest sellers in the US.

But this is a great achievement. Microsoft have a huge presence in America now. Sets them up very nicely for the next generation.

This gen has proven that MS not only learned a lot from their first time around but improved in many ways. Every console make wants to be able to sell more/make more money with each successive generation. MS is doing both this gen so therefore already they can say its a success.

Also, this shows that they are about 15 million from doubling the sales of the original Xbox. Will it happen? Will Project Natal push sales enough so that they'll reach it possibly at the end of next year?

Congrat to M$. The 360 is my 3rd favorite console of all-time.
