NPD is just like MediaCreate and Famitsu. There have been plenty of times that those two haven't agreed. I'm not saying NPD is wrong, but none of them are exactly right. It is all estimations.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Last December Nintendo suffered stock shortages and as such sales were less than they could have been. There are zero stock shortages now, so that won't be happening this year.

and I think it has been that way for a few weeks now.  Go 360!

I'm just looking at the week by week totals, which the 360 has been beating the ps3 in over the past few weeks.

Yes over all the ps3 will beat the 360s year 3 total, but it's pretty close.

I understand that. However, there must be a reference in order to call NPD or VGC or any other tracking service "wrong". Without any official numbers from MS/Nintendo/Sony, some people are already calling/implying the numbers wrong because they don't like it.

 



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I don't think the wii will hit two mil either, but you all are forgetting that other stores are having similiar sales such as best buy and kmart.
