Banjo & Kazooie Join Sonic & Ryo In Sega All-Stars Racing

That rumor that Rare mascots Banjo and Kazooie would join the cast of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing? Totally true! Well, if you believe Sega.com, which is the source of the miniature, guest star-revealing box art.

TSSZ News spotted the pre-announcement reveal of the Xbox 360 version of the box art, which seems to confirm the inclusion of Banjo and Kazooie by putting the Rare pair on the cover. The Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie title is another hint that seems to confirm that at least one version will feature a bear and bird battling it out against Sonic the Hedgehog and Ryo Hazuki the forklift driver on race tracks under blue skies.

While it appears that the Xbox 360 version is getting a guest appearance, none of the other platforms show cameos on their respective box arts. Of course, things could change and we could be pitting Sonic against, say, the Echochrome wooden doll next year. But we'll believe it when we see it! On Sega.com!

Well this is rather cool...

They should put Sackboy or Ratchet in PS3 version and someone from the Mario universe in the nintendo version. This should be a fun drive down the nostalgia lane.

That's pretty darn awesome. Like you've said already, hopefully we'll see the other versions of the game have other great characters as well. Still, a great treat for 360 owners of this game!

Reminds me of the good ol' days when Banjo first started out as a kart racer in Diddy Kong Racing.

Nice bonus for 360 owners. Especially if their the only system with bonus characters.

I can't see Nintendo shelling out Mario for this game when they already have Mario Kart. But I wouldn't mind seeing another Nintendo character guest star. Kirby? Star Fox? Captain Falcon!

Maybe Ratchet and Clank for PS3.

That's pretty cool, but honestly I don't like Banjo or Kazooie that much anymore.

Still, it's nice. I wonder if they'll get some Nintendo-characters for Wii? Maybe Samus can finally be in a racing game? XD

Interestingly, all of the leaked pix are now gone.

It appears it may be Microsoft spending funds trying to drive sales in its new Family Games line (MS going for casuals).

Oh come on...Banjo is still cool. If anything, for old times sake.

Watch Sega put the dude from the Conduit in the game for Nintendo...lol

It also could be that this was done by Sega UK and they may be freinds with Rare so one thing lead to another...
