Shadow of the Colossus re-release next February?

I've just noticed that all major Japanese retailers have a new listing for a reprint of Shadow of the Colossus (The Best edition) for the 4th February 2010.

The format is PlayStation 2.

General opinion right now is that Sony might be preparing a bit of a rally for attention for the upcoming release of The Last Guardian.

Interesting, the re-release is for PS2 though, not PS3 :(

I didn't know it sold enough to get a BEST edition, hopefully we get one too, I wanna play the game!

What Sony needs to do is perfect & port to PS3 the already well working 'non-profit' software project called PCSX2. The emulator is already playing 'most' PS2 games full speed on mainstream computers and a well made PS3 port would probably offer 'flawless' emulation at FULL HD resolutions.
It is probably hard for the techs at Sony to admit that some kids (well...talented programmers) achieved this, but i think accepting this as an 'achievement' would be both a beautiful gesture and a way to satisfy millions of customers.

"The Best" means its sold well enough thats all...

basically SONY would be using a piracy emulator device & changing it

Why don't they sell a updated HD version of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus together! XO

Good news and bad news at the same time.

Good news - Yey, it's sold well enough and we get to buy it again!

Bad news - Meh, probably no "Team ICO collection"

they should remake this game from the ground up with the PS3 game engine.

They should re-release this and ICO together as a collection!

just a lower priced version, nothing new.
