Actually, SmokedHostage, I'm continuing an ongoing argument with Ps3 where he repeatedly insists that sales=talent. I'm simply arguing that that isn't true; neither is the reverse. Talent/good music is not restricted or defined by genre or mainstream success.

But, hey, thanks for your snarky attempts at being clever.

I agree with you, I was just trying to be funny.

And apparently I failed miserably.

I

It's not your fault, didn't mean to sound grumpy. Ps3 is just getting to me. This argument has lasted over two threads, haha.

You said music is shitty now a days and you just said you no longer need expensive recording stupids and record labels!

BLAYDCOR'S STATEMENTS:

1)Mainstream music, while it obviously has good songs/talented artists, is, for the most part, pretty bad and commercially, not creatively, driven. Music is often mindless and bad, lots of one hit wonders and all that.

2)Thanks to meteoric improvements in recording technology, just a couple of dudes who can play guitar can record a song with quality production levels on a laptop.

3)Thanks to the internet, said dudes/girls/whatever can directly distribute their music to listeners with record labels as the middle man.

Again, feel free to point out where I contradict myself. And please. Don't twist me saying that mainstream music is largely vapid into "music is shitty nowadays".

That's pretty much saying music today is shitty.. but whatever you like is what you like and that is your business! Maybe if non signed artists worked harder they would make it.

Couple this with the dazzling industry insight you've displayed in your discussion with Khuutra, and I realize now that I can never argue with somebody as prescient and world-wise as yourself.

Ugh ... WHO IS CUTER WHO IS CUTER!!!

one syllable "er." More than one syllable gets 'more.'

Yes, I'm grumpy this morning, and I'm very very sick of seeing Taylor Swift every frikkin time I come to off-topics!

Can someone ban him for being annoying please?

Happier, prettier, more swift.... I donn't know what the rule is here, but it's not that

Because it's actually very late where I am and I can't help ribbing you

OT:

The dog.

As to the "nobody would vote for the dog if it was the Beatles!" thing

Yes they would. The Beatles were many things, but "cute" wasn't really one of them

Before I spam you with links for proper english grammar rules, mind giving me a few more of those irregular examples?

I am the black sheep     "of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong."-Robert Anton Wilson

-y words are probably an exception to the rule.

Well, you totally did, and displayed a blatant ignorance of the music industry over the past several decades, but whatever.

Khuutra is a man.

He also doesn't cry over petty things.
