What do you think is the most likely apocalypse scenario?

I personally think that the "terminator" scenario is far more likely than most of the popular ones such as Zombies. I think it is far more feasible that one day we could build a weapons system so intelligent that one little mishap and it could systematically wipe out the human race.

The sun will burn the Earth (garraunteed apocolypse wether humans are still here or not).

Global Warming... though not the kind your thinking.

Think if the current global warming is from a natural trend.

We'd have no defense except wait for the cycle to bear out. People may survive... but it'd be hard... much harder then say living through a nuclear winter for example.

Wow you can read my mind Kasz, I'm not going to lie, I'm impressed.

Yeah, the naturally changing temperatures of the Earth have often been a cause for concern. Humans have survived through several cycles but what makes things more difficult now is that we are civilised, we've built cities and roads. Whereas before we could just migrate further inland or outland, now we are pretty much stuck in certain locations. It could spell disaster for shallow countries like Holland.

Anyway, In Britain man made global warming has been put into the perspective of how I see it over the past couple of weeks due to leaked e-mails that were about covering up certain information, which I'm happy about.

The e-mails were covering up the fact that global warming is not as bad as it is made out to be. This is my view. Man made global warming is made out by the media and politicians to be an extremely serious threat because it benefits them, the actual truth is that this is not the case. The public are spoon fed the worst case scenario all the time as it benefits the ones who have control over how it gets to the public.

I accept man made global warming is happening, but I don't think it would be anywhere near as bad as people think, not by a long shot. It certainly wont wipe out mankind.

Nuclear war. We should take down Ahmadinejad before he has a chance to launch his nukes.

Plague and Pandemics ...

I can’t remember all of the details, but a couple of years ago I heard a lecture on the radio about potential (natural) biological threats. According to the lecture, there are a handful of characteristics of a virus that are used to determine the potential danger from a virus; and, while I can’t remember them all, they’re features like how long a person is contagious before they demonstrate symptoms because that determines whether it can be contained.

At the time of the lecture, the claim was made that there were a dozen known threats that were 1 trait (most often requiring airborne transmission) away from becoming a pandemic; and there were over 100 known threats that were two traits away from becoming a pandemic.

Now, I want to be clear that the pandemics described are not "Fake" pandemics like Swine-Flu which threaten to kill off 0.05% of the population of a country; they're diseases like Airborne Ebola which has the potential to kill off 90% (or more) of the world’s population.

I doubt global warming will be an apocalypse. I don't believe that it is manmade, I agree that it's a natural thing. And a lot of people will die (billions possibly), but it will not be the end of humanity.

Zombie apocalypse is just for shits and giggles. All out nuclear war or the terminator scenario seem the most likely to me, though I'm bad at remembering stuff like this, so feel free to remind me of other scenarios

Well, me, Squirrel, Sqrl and others knew this all along. We don't need any exposed cover-ups to realize it's all a big myth.

But I am glad you have started to open your eyes, highwaystar.

Btw, is there any public discussion in the UK about the leaked e-mails? Because here in Sweden our media is covering up the leak too lol.
