I do not have one favorite game. Specifically because Mario has been so prolific, go on so long, and has games in nearly every genre. If I was to say Mario 3 was my favorite, it would deny the fact that Mario Galaxy exists. And if I said Mario Galaxy was my favorite, it would deny the fact that Paper Mario exists. And all of these are some of my favorite games, but for completely different reasons.

I voted for Super Mario World, but I also really liked Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

For me, it is difficult to compare the 2D games with the 3D games. I love them both, but they play too differently for me to make a choice of one style over the other.
