Forums - Nintendo - Super Mario Galaxy Demo out now! Go to gamestop this instant!

Yeah, I was very glad to see the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attached to the kiosk. Much easier to pick up and play, and you don't have to strike up a conversation with Gamestop employees which will surely end with you telling them no, for the third time, you do NOT want to preorder Super Mario Galaxy or ANY OTHER GAME for that matter. Now, Gamestop is what it was always meant to be, a place for gamers to pop in and play some fun game demos and annoy the employees by sucking at Guitar Hero. :)

I've been going back to Gamestop to try it out. I got kicked out of one, so I wnet to a different one.

LOL. You must feel like little kids having your demo-play removed from your sweaty hands.
Remember the times when you were 4 feet tall and look up those SNES/Genesis?

I played the demo longer than Bacon.

Australia never get cool stuff like this (demos' etc)

Gamespot is the place to be if you're a cool kid.

Wah, Mexico sucks. We don't get nifty Wii kiosks, just those PS3 and 360 ones :S

Yeah, so I went to GameStop to play Galaxy. But after 5 seconds of playing, my sister, Nintendo Fan Girl, wanted to play. So I had to give her the controller. Se eventually caught the 1st bunny which took her 10 minutes from when she started playing. Then I took about 1½ minutes to catch the other 2 bunnies. But my sister had to play the next two planets. So she played those planets for about 3 minutes. Then we arrived at the final planet and I took the controller from her. She yelled atme then walked out of the store. Our mom went after her and they waited in the car while I finish getting the star which would have only taken 30 seconds. I got the Grand Star and I saw the Hub World. I never landed there. I reset the game and walked out of the store pissed at my sister. I played for about 2 minutes. She played for 15 and she's the one that is upset. -_-

The morons there didn't even have the 2nd controller synced. He couldn't figure out how to do it but I guess he forgot that you have to hit the red button on the Wii too, which was behind the case.

At least I paid of Galaxy and put $5 down on Brawl.

I am in HK and I have been playing the game for 2 days already.. jap version.. I got 30 stars at the moment...

Every star is challenging, you will take longer time to get 1 single star, when compared with Mario 64. There are lots of bosses in the game. I love the way to fight against each boss. You need different techniques to fight them, and it always makes me laugh!!

However, one thing which is not good enough, is that it follows the system of Mario Sunshine... When you enter a galaxy, you do not have the freedom to pick which star first... You need to pick the 1st star before the 2nd one, and so on... So you are not able to get the later stars at first......

I dunno if this system will hurt your interest or not, but for me, I get a little disappointment about it... But anyway, you will be getting surprises in every galaxy. The environment varies greatly from galaxy to galaxy.

Sunshine could do that because of the highly scripted nature of each star- the whole level changed between stars in many cases. From videos, there is little of that present. Is it really true that you can never collect a star out of order? Even Mario 64 forced you to select the first star but often let you collect a different one.
