Not as much credibility as Namco probably lost when they made Tales of Vesperia an Xbox exclusive making the Japanese consumers buy the 360 for the game and then all of a sudden announcing a better version of Vesperia is coming to the PS3!!

I imagine that these people will still buy the game, just like the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott idjits.

I think this is a little different. These are people boycotting a game because it lacks features to which they have become accustomed to in their games, not just 'boycotting' a game because it's no longer exclusive. One group is taking a stand against a minimum standard they expect in their game, the others are just shooting themselves in the foot.
Explain to me how SE is going to lose money on this? What's to regret in making more money?
It's like saying Tekken 6 would have made more money if it was exclusive to the PS3, when in reality it hasn't sold well and would have done even worst being on just one system.
It's just that simple.

Not to sound like a fanboy, but you are aware that the PS fans of the old are the PS3/360 fans of the new? There selling it to the exact same audience really.
OP: If the game sells under a mill then they will. I know Namco regrets keeping ToV exclusive though.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
No. It's good for the company, and it's great for gamers. However, some people who are PS3 fanboys might WISH that Square-Enix would live to regret their decision, but it ain't gonna happen. It was a great move, and it allowed another million people to enjoy their best franchise. How could anyone regret that?

Upside to 360 release - millions of game sales
Downside - Angry people on the internet.
That's a downside you can never overcome.
