Lol, what kind of question is that, Pokemon is far more popular than Final Fantasy in every part of the world including Japan so Pokemon will win

sheesh i don't think many guys here had their first time yet :p
Let check VG Chartz:
Pokemon Platinum did 1.3 millions in its first month of sales according to VG Chartz, Final Fantasy XII did 1.04 million in the same time.
Now PS2 userbase was huge at the time and let's face it JRPGs are not quite popular these days in America, so Pokemon has a better position than FF XIII

D/P is a much fairer comparison than Platinum, since Platinum is just an extension of D/P.
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
PS3 plus 360 version ?
then yes.

Do you think FFXIII PS3+360 will outsell Pokemon HeartGold+SoulSilver?

In that case Pokemon D/P did 2.19 millions in one month (the double of Final Fantasy XII) Anyway The most interesting thing in this scenario'll be how many copies can Final Fantasy sell per system.
