i should outsell it, the USA will be the only region it will outsell the ps3, its not going to outell it worldwide though..i think the 360 got the usa on lock

It is an interesting question.
If we look at previous decembers we see

2006 = PS3 - 490k. 360 = 1.1m. = 360 sold 610k more.
2007 = PS3 - 790k. 360 = 1.26m. = 360 sold 470k more.
2008 = PS3 - 726k. 360 = 1.44m. = 360 sold 710k more.

So based on previous holidays 360 has sold more then PS3 quite comfortably.
This holiday is different in that PS3 has a price cut and a new model, so obviously sales will be better.

However what i think a lot of people are missing is that majority of the PS3s sales for November 2009 came from black friday deals. Even with those huge sales PS3 still sold 25k a week less then the 360.

The way i see it i think it will be a close call. History shows that december sales are roughly around a 40% increase from november. If this trend runs true into this december then that would at an estimate put PS3 sales around 994k. Just under a million. If we do the same with 360 would put it at around 1.1m. So again i think we could be looking at a difference that is a 100k or maybe even less.

So based on past trends and factors when you take away the black friday effect i would take a guess that 360 will beat PS3 in NPD sales.

I agree that recent numbers will help provide some clarity though. I also think it's disingenuous (this is not aimed at you BHR) for Sony fans to act like they weren't surprised the the 360 won. 

but what about the ps3 easily beating the 360 on black friday? that must mean the ps3 will outsell the 360 in december. lol its funny how people expect the 360 to win whilst at the moment the ps3 is beating the 360 in the us! take a look at the front page! either way, doesnt mean shit for sony, the ps3 sold more than half a million more than 360 in december and will be even more in december.

Well, I wasn't exaclty expecting PS3 to beat 360 in November so much as come close, however, assuming this site's numbers are fairly accurate for Black Friday, it does look PS3 will win December NPD (vs 360). However, I suspect it will be close in the end. 360 is simply the stronger brand for certain games and the region, although PS3 is clearly in reasonable demand also.

its known that ps3 sold 440k+ on BF week there was no real info on wat 360 sold some estimates here and there saying 330k

i believe 360 won Nov not b/c of BF week performance but b/c of the 2-3 weeks prior with its wall mart deals, MW2 launch/bundle

if ps3 can beat 360 wen the numbers come in for NA today then i dont know how the 360 will gain sales on the ps3 for the remaining 3 weeks of Dec

I guess MW2 helped the 360 in Nov.,but it shouldnt be too important in Dec,so i guess it will be close,but who knows,maybe the 360 will win again
