I personally feel this is the worst game I've ever played in my life. But that's mostly because no matter how much I would grind I can never get my stats high enough. And I know I saw some screens with people at 23000+ HP. So I gotta ask cause it bugged the hell out of me, how do you break the system?

You don't break any systems, 9999+ is possible easy.

in the Status screen there are fore stats HP MP ATTACK DEFENSE.... the can be leveled 1-10 HP and MP at 10 raise HP LV thus allow ing to get god lv HP making strong weapons plus adding buffers to them gives you god power

Story sucked for 2 reasons mainly...

First, they fuck you over in a medieval world instead of freaking space. IT'S STAR OCEAN! with every freaking new event, I was like "so when are we leaving?" but egh, the whole game got wasted on that planet.
Second, with the attack of the 4d beings I thought some ancient profound evil cult awakened... but no, they were freaking programs and this is a GAME. Worst twist ever, huge ruined potential, boring story.

Thank god for the combat system and fast loading in that game.

a great rpg indeed, loved every minute of it. i put over 120hrs into the game and completed everything the game had to offer and i still play it once a year , just like ff10. its my 3rd favorite rpg on the ps2, only behind ff10 and ff11:online.

Great game besides its horrid voice acting, hundreds of graphical glitches. But decent story.

Very good game but I would not vouch for the greatness of its story. SO4 is leagues worse, if that says anything however.

Star Ocean was one of my Favorite RPG's on the PS2, the only thing I hated was that your character can die if all their MP is gone and when you have Cliff in you party, that's like every 5 battles!

If I made a top 5 RPG's for PS2 it would be:
1) Final Fantasy X
2) Tales of the Abyss
3) Star Ocean 3
4) Persona 3(FES)
5) Xenosaga
