MAC is overrated. It is not more stable or anything else that all of these people keep saying.

Every year there are hacker competitions and most of the time MAC falls first.

With a MAC you'll pay more for the hardware, more for the software, the software will take longer to come out, gaming is pretty much non-existent, and ease of use really comes down to familiarity. Once you've used one for any given time, it will be just as easy to use.

If you simply are a smart computer use, you won't have issues with virus' or anything else. The only reason MAC people think they are safer is because no one targets MACs due to the much smaller user base. Otherwise they'd be in a world of pain.

PC is simply the best overall choice.

Actually, the fact no one here is defending the Mac, other than a person who said PCs get slowed down easily (speaking of FUD....), proves the initial point he was making.

If someone says that macs can get hacked easier (bullshits) you can install windows 7 or linux natively without stupid hacks

so why compare something that is both PC AND MAC at the same time??

I don't think anyone disagrees with the fact that PCs represent a much larger marketshare than macs. At the same time, I doubt VGC users posting in a mac vs pc thread is very indicative of actual OS usage in general. I was also defending macs by calling out his BS. It's probably a hit and run troll on his part and we won't see him till the next pc vs mac thread where he will be back to tell us that there are only a few people who actually use macs making problem solving near impossible, that you need to pay $200 if you can't fix a mac problem yourself, or that apple will sue you for building your own osx86 pc. Complete FUD on his part.

Hilariously, I can find solutions for most any problem I have with my hackintosh on one of the two active forums for osx86 PCs. I'm sure users of legitimate macs are just fine being that they comprise a reasonable amount of total computer users.

Actually I'd argue that Macs have none of the beneits and all of the downfalls.

Lack of software support like linux, but it is nowhere near as open as Linux.

At the same time it is hackable, in fact faster than Linux or Vista (lawl Vista). Yet it offers very little in terms of games.

Overall if you don't know how to keep your computer straight, or need to make a movie, go with Mac. If you do, don't even bother.
