Que?
WTF is he talking about?
You know, when speaking of Aonuma and Zelda, I'm skeptical. When I hear him enthusiastically talking about doing what he wants with the series, I don't share his enthusiasm. Wasn't the wolf mechanic and then the boat his ideas?

Aonuma is the guy who was responsible for Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess.
Especially Majora's Mask.
He's the guy to trust with the series. Miyamoto still advises concerning gameplay, too.

Aonuma isn't even directing this game. I hope it's Koizumi actually, he's a genius. Plus it's not like Miyamoto isn't superivising it. |
Where in the blood-assed Hell did you hear that
If aonuma isn't directing why is HE the one that keeps on talking about it, is he the producer?

I disagree, Miyamoto is the guy to trust, not as a supervisor but as producer. Because he has a true connection with gamers. Aonuma is up on his head trying to inject himself into his games, he reminds of Tingle from the first time we see him in MM, up on a balloon somewhere.
Majorah's Mask had a lot of interesting rather controversial ideas, it was a good momentary deviation and experiment. But if Majorah's Mask came out next year as "the" Wii game to impress everybody, it wouldn't turn out too well. He wants to do another Ocarina of Time in principle, not Majorah's Mask. I wish him luck with that, but something tells me he's up on the "innovation" and "technology" balloon regarding Ocarina of Time's impact.
I'm skeptical. The way he's talking now actually makes me worried.

....You're serious, then.
You think of Majora's Mask - Majora's Mask - as "a momentary deviation".
You realize he also directed Wind Waker and Twilight Princess too, right? And he was the producer for Phantom Hourglass? Not sure what his position was on Spirit Tracks, though.
Aonuma often works as co-director - he did it with Wind Waker, I believe. Or Majora's Mask. One of those.
Hard to say, but I hope Aonuma stays central. He's responsible for the best dungeon design in the business, and his story concepts (the entirety of Majora's Mask, Wind Waker) are a breath of fresh air.
