Google isn't the most reliable source, but VGC is the 45th result for a "video game" search.
Is there a more reliable method of determining these things?
I bet he makes a fair few quid; But I also think he could make a lot of cash by selling the data of it's members to research companies, like Facebook do.
Just think. This site has a fairly large user base at 50,000 members, a large sample size could be taken from that. We all supply the necessary information that researchers would require (what games we own, how old we are, where we live). You could offer research companies valuable information about their target consumer.
For example; If a company wants to know what genre is most popular with gamers age 21-30 in Britain, it would be much more simple and cost effective for them to buy the information directly from ioi, as opposed to go out and do expensive and time consuming field research.
In fact ioi, I think you should do this if you don't already.

7 million page views eh. Thats a nice number. 7 million, 2-3 ads per page. This site does very well.
Howmany of those are uniques? 10000? :)

Doesn't Mark Zuckerberg claim that Facebook doesn't do that?
Anyway, I think this is a good idea, but it should be voluntary, ie: have a profile option saying "I do not want my information to be shared with third party partners".
Not to mention VGC isn't a very good sample, since we're all very informed, even more informed than the average, say, GameSpot or IGN member.
Hmm...Since there seems to be so many weird ads that are diffrent in every country, how many there is actually?
Since I sometimes get these Finnish ads but most of times there is these "fart machines" or alike.
Take my love, take my land..

Thats pretty amazing for a site this caliber...
At this rate it won't be long before the site may be bought by a large network. I see a nice IGN logo on the front page in the near future :)

Wow, impressive. That means $15,000 - $20,000 a month pure revenue, am I wrong?

The terms of agreement on Facebook states:
"We may use information about you that we collect from other sources, including but not limited to newspapers and Internet sources such as blogs, instant messaging services, Facebook Platform developers and other users of Facebook, to supplement your profile."
and
"We may share your information with third parties, including responsible companies with which we have a relationship."
But they claim they have never used the latter.
...
Anyway, I think that if we have privacy options ioi could still offer a decent sample size, it would only discount a small percentage of the users who choose to use that function.
And as for well informed, that would be our niche over places like IGN. We are the more informed serious gamer, and we represent a large part of the market.

Well, GamerPrint is no Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger, is it? Or even a NEXT, or a GAP. Or a Primark (which is cheaper).
