The prices are in £, so clearly they do ship to the UK. Why did you say "Canada and US"?
And maybe I'm being stingy, but...£15 for a (regular) t-shirt?
By the way, when we spend £15 on a t-shirt, how much goes to VGC? 1p? 5p?
probably less then most of us, but if he keeps doing his thing he could be well on his way of earning lots of money

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
disolitude said: Lets see. Advertising is measured on CPM (flat rate per 1000 impressions) or CPC (cost per click) basis. I would assume VGchartz is part of a larger ad network which gets them a lot of these borderline spam like ads like "sponsor a child" by world vision. These ads are sold on a really low CPM basis. something like 1-2 dollars per 1000 impressions. Id need to know monthly traffic that the site does...but its safe to say advertising revenue is represented witht he following formula. monthly traffic / 1000 * 1-3 dollars So if the site does 2 million impressions a month, it does $2000 at worst and $6000 at best. |
According to most website tracking sites, VGChartz at least has around 4.5 million hits per month.
I'm guessing VGChartz makes around $10,000 a month. Ofcourse, all costs (servers, etc) must be paid by this too.

Huh? You asked whether they ship to the UK! Someone else asked about Canada (as he obviously saw the £ and thought it may be just UK-only) and I said yes to both Canada and the US. Then you asked about UK and I said yes (obviously). And £15 is hardly a lot for a t-shirt! Do you ever go to Next, River Island or any other mens clothing shop? |
I was wondering why you mentioned the US as well, then.
£15 is very reasonable for a designer T-shirt, but for this?

Yeah that sounds about right. A nice little business venture... :)

ioi said: Since about 60% of people on the site are from the US? And they are "designer" t-shirts. |
Designer? They're from a website that advertises on VGC, lol
I'm sure some people would love them, but I personally have no interest.
