It wouldn't be surprising if Final Fantasy 13 did get this score. Only Final Fantasy 12 got a 40/40 from Famitsu.

Talking about a rumor of a review score? Really guys. Feels like MGS4 all over again where every little aspect of it has to be discussed simply because we forcibly put it on this pedestal. FF13 deserves the hype and deserves the sales talk, but you can't discuss review scores now... none of us have played it and we have no other reviews to go off of. Seriously don't turn FF13 into another MGS4 because we don't need a fascist forum because of it.

Anyways, 39/40 is a great score. Fuck Famitsu, but this makes FFXIII tied with games like Gran Turismo 4, Tekken 3, MGS3, FFX and Resident Evil.

Assuming you haven't played those three what makes you think that those are shitty games? Just because it doesn't interest you doens't mean it's not a great game. Don't act as if it's the end of the world just because one of your anticpated game isn't scored the way you want it to be.

But that's the thing...the only one I haven't played is Monster Hunter Tri. I've played the older Monster Hunters and they all suck. I'veplayed Nintendogs and it sucks. I've played the Bayonetta demo and it's decnet at best. But like you said, that is just my opinnion. It may be the best game ever but just not interest me. It's not the end of the world...it's just the end of Famitsu as far as I am concerned.

39/40 is good by itself, but it's shitty compared to Nintendogs, Bayonetta and that goddamn lolhunter.

39/40 for FF XIII is bullshit. 40/40 or bust.

See that's the thing. That just means that FFVI also deserved a 40/40 but got shafted for some reason. Plus, back then it was much harder to get a 40 from Famitsu. These days they hand 40's out like it's a joke.

maybe ill love this ff then, every single ff they have scored lower than 40 i have loved.
i could not stand ffxii personally and don't know why it got such a high review from them in my own opinion it was more like 35/40.
