Don't make me cry, guys. I need some positive reviews here.

I've played the original Rondo of Blood and MAAAAAAAN do I love it. You can really see the transition from oldskool Castlevania to the freeform Metroidania SOTN introduces.

And Maria is awesome/insane.

I'm undecided about the PSP port though. If I get a PSP it's on my "must have" list anyway, but 3D remakes always worry me.

After playing a few more levels, the game is growing on me slightly. I still prefer the style of the the DS games but this game isn't pissing me off quite as badly as it initially did.

Most of the game isn't even that hard; it just has a few really annoying parts. I'm curious to see how the difficulty scales (I've beaten 5 stages, I think) as the game progresses.

Well the game has a decent 82% on metacritics , so the quality should be good ... after all tastes do defer :)
