A handful of excellent games won't miraculously make a system sell. If you want proof of that, look at the Gamecube library.

Like some others mentioned, PS3's big hits will keep the system going in the race, but beyond that, I don't really see them having a huge affect on sales, a least not to the point of suddenly skyrocketing to 1st place (or even second for that matter). N64 had some big hits as well, but as shown with that console, a handful of AAA titles doesn't necesarilly guarentee massive success of a console. People seem to forget that MS and Nintendo will have their own library of hits in 08 and going into 09 to counter Sony's.

PLease dont make sony nintendo now by saying look at the gamecubes library. So what? Its a playstation not a nintendo.

I see the ps3 doing amazing in 2008, you guys would jaw drop. Japan sales should increase drasticly with dyansty warriors bundle. Maybe as high as 50k before the holiday. This chtristmas should go to the wii, secound to the ps3. Why? Sales as high as 100k in japan, and europe is sony's to take. The 360 only has the U.S, and the ps3 should rival its sales with the 40gb.

Duh?!?! its a no brainer 2008 will be better than 07.. you have at least 3 confirmed system sellers coming out for it in 08.. plust sony finally doesnt have a 600 dollar console on the market.. and im convinced they will drop the price with the lauch of mgs4 down to 350 and 450 respectively

About the same numbers that is doing right now. Perhaps something like a 30% increase for a few weeks when GT 5 is released, before dropping again

120 million people already own a PS2. So in other words 120 million people don't need BC.

Let's say half of them don't want to keep their PS2 or it broke and the other half buys a 40GB PS3 with no BC it could still sell pretty damn well.

If the big ones are spread out well, it will easily catch and surpass 360 ww numbers. Hopefully no month will be stacked while another is empty.
