If they gave Bayonetta a 40/40, and Nintendogs, and 428, they're sure as hell going to give a main series Final Fantasy a 40/40.

Hopefully not. Nothing against FFXIII, I will probably get it. First FF I will buy since FFIX but I just hate to see all the perfect scores given out, unless that game is from ND :D

Remember back in the day when Famitsū was synonym of harsh review? There were like 4 games that ever got a perfect score? But then Nintendogs and FFXII got a 40/40 and it all went downhill from there.

Could be, I should look into that (staff changing) at some point. My roommates and I had a discussion about that. And yes, I remember back when a Famitsu 40 was actually newsworthy. When they were seen less often than the new year, it really makes you look twice at the game. But since 2008, it's pretty much been a quarterly occasion, or, really, just more review bloat.

I agree when people say that Famitsu scores are way inflated nowadays, but sometimes they can get it right. I do believe it will be a 40.

PS. for the last time, FFXII is a great game and it's sales and review scores prove it. Fucking haters :P

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
