I was thinking it may be hard to come up with a top 10 without forgetting some. So, here is an alphabetical list of all the franchises that have been voted on so far, incase you need some help thinking of some. Of course you are free to (and encouraged) to vote for a franchise that has not yet gotten a vote. I'll be updating this periodically as well as linking to it in the original post.

Everyone is going for the same thing which seems quite a narrow choice.
Can we have games from early 80s arcades such as:

Mr Do series
Bubble Bobble Series
Gauntlet series
Double dragon series
Tron Series

?

Yep anything on the PS/Saturn/N64, or 2001 and before for PC is allowed. So you can go back as far as you want. I've been very surprised there hasn't been a single vote for Pong yet (even if it is only one game).

So "The Sims" will count then?

Yep, The Sims(PC) will count, but the console versions as well as as some of the expansion packs don't fall into the time frame. No problem about changing your vote, just be sure that when you edit your vote you show all of the movement in your list, because I have been adding up votes as I get them. December 21st is the day I plan on stop accepting votes.
