Yeah, they can, I know. But I think it would be more likely that you would control your character more like you do on, say, Ocarina of Time. So the Wiimote would never be used for turning, and there'd be button to modifie the analog stick's function from strafing to free moving. A single analog config. But I think that would need a different camera.

Exactly.

And how do you look left and right in that mode?

I'd guess the mouse right?

What on the Wii replicates that when the Wiimote is already taken?

Wiimote can attack only if you are pressing a certain button and aim if you are not pressing this button.

Then however your basically limited to right slashes when moving left and left slashes when moving right based on how your hands move.

I thought OOT used the C buttons for camera controls kinda like Goldeneye used them for strafing.

No, Mario 64 did that. OoT used 3 of the C buttons to put weapons/items and C up to let Navi talk/look on a first person view.

ohhh.....damn my memory sucks.  Well yeah that could possibly work, but it kind of seems like that would have to slow up the gameplay since you can't lock on to an entire army.

You could use a button to switch to a "strafing mode", not necessarily locking on to anything. You could do that on OoT too, btw.

@Soriku

Yeah, I just think if that's the case than the camera should be a bit different, but who knows.

its not on-rail its "Like a on rails" maybe all it wants to say is that its a game that you fallow a single path ... just it for me its gonna rocks ^^

GO PATS! 2012 THE YEAR OF NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS'S 4TH SUPER BOWL!

A patriot to the end. GO PATS!

Now playing> THE LAST STORY (Wii) Best RPG I EVER PLAYED. *-*

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!

Yes, reading into this, the only place saying on rails is 1up, the same guys that thought standing up underneath a block in Mario and you being pushed out from under it is a "glitch" (watch them play NSMB Wii live)

The thing is it very well could have been mistranslated from linear to on rails, some of the other features seem to say it has to be more than just "on rails" either way just like before I'm waiting for more info and video, but this is a prime example of why people don't need to jump the gun.

If it's on rails or not people should calm down until more info is released, and even if it is on rails there's no reason to go overboard especially if it's good.

if you watch 1UP playing sin and punishment 2 they state that the story is not related in any way to the first one and that you cannot deflect attacks back. also the guys playing it suck and cant even complete the first level without dieing. when i watch people playing games i want them to know what they are talking about

nintendo fanboy, but the good kind

proud soldier of nintopia

Well, at least its gained some status among the vgchartz members... Hopefully sandlot just creates a fun game, regardless of rails or stairs or any of the like. If its fun I'll buy it.
