Many graphical assets are already done, and those that aren't won't take long to upgrade to HD standards.

Err... I'd say the opposite. Making them for HD would be almost like making them from scratch. The opposite process should be easier of course.

for Natal, I'd love to see the "controller" being your hand in the good old gun-form we all know from our childhoods.

I don't think Natal can do that... at least they haven't shown anything like that.

Well, as far as I have seen, most of the enemies and maps can be pulled straight from the first game, and upgrading assets are easier than starting from scratch as far as I am aware.

And I don't know if Natal can do that, but it would be awesome

Easier, but not much easier. Otherwise making HD games would not be much more expensive than making Wii games which contradicts everything we've heard from developers.

As for pulling assets from the first game, that sounds more reasonable.

Regarding Natal, I'm pretty sure it can't do it:

I was curious as to whether the tech could lock onto a player's hand and map individual fingers. The implications for Guitar Hero-style games, for example, could be significant. "It could see my fingers pretty well," Tsunoda replies. "But a little kid's fingers... it's a bit harder at the maximum distance."

Which leads me to believe that finger detection is not reliable, much less discerning the position and angles of a fingers with enough resolution to point at each pixel of the screen. It's a shame really, because IR pointing is one of the greatest things about the Wiimote IMO.

Oh damn, and I actually read that. Damn my memory. Well, it should still transition easily onto the PS3, which I think would still be able to make some money. EA should also be able to have it out sooner if it doesn't have to wait for Natal, so it might be able to get it out in summer, assuming Dead Space 2 hits in the fall.

i'd love to ,and i won't mind if its a rail shooter because this game is VERY underrated. i loved it.

Hope that's true, i need more Dead Space :)

'Sure why not. It'd be like Chinatown Wars all over again.'.

Not really. Dead Space Extraction HD has nothing to live up to.

they could make it and it would sell more than the wii version probably, but it still probably won't make a profit.

The game in total might not make a profit, but I think the port could make a profit, thus reducing the loss the game brought to EA.

go ahead lol, you can have our dumb arse table scrap test game

Neither did CTW, it bombed twice (though much, much harder the 2nd time around).  It'd be the same story for DSE.

And much like CTW, I'm sure the 2nd time DSE bombed the industry media reasoning would magically shift from the platform's inherent inability to sell "mature core games" to basic faults in the game's own appeal.

It'd be great for the lulz, as every rails shooter that came out for the Wii was met by a "lol railzzz!" comment by HD fans, and now they'd be praising rails shooters.

I love watching these people become hypocrites, encourages me to see that gamers are soft and moldable like clay.
