I hope Sony made at least 100,000 of those FF XIII bundles...

I can't believe people are predicting 2m first week! This is Japan we are talking about! If Pokémon Heart Gold / Soul Silver can't do it, FFXIII certainly can't!

I agree. However as I said in my post I hope I'm wrong, for the console JRPG genres sake.

1.56M FFXIII - first week.
586k FFXIII - second week.
2.834M FFXIII LTD sales in Japan.

First day 1M+ then.

The first game of a well known franchise on a new platform sells most of the time better then the second. Thats why I dont think XII is a good example to compare it with, it will be more like X. So I say 1.3 Mio day 1 and 1.9 Mio first seven days.

@Farmland and Dobby Did you read my earlier post? At this point preorders alone are looking likely to hit at least 1 million so that should be the absolute low-ball estimate for first day and 1.2 million for first week. And in regards to selling to an enormous portion of the install base, when it launched in Japan MGS4 sold in it's first 3 week to about 25% of the install base at the time and MGS isn't nearly as big a franchise as FF is in Japan. By the time this game launches PS3 should be close to 4.5 million install base so 1.5 million would only be about 33% attach ratio. Although I will agree that 2 million is VERY unlikely first week.

1st week is going to be 1.5 million.....or 1,543,125 to be exact
