I just want to get your opinions on things.

RE sold more in Week One NA than DSE sold after like 2 months NA/EU.

Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles is coming after the previous Resident Evil on rails shooter sold 1.3M on the Wii.

Resident Evil comes from a much more established, successful franchise than Dead Space. A franchise who's PS360 offering sold 1.59M between the both of them.

I think the answer is obvious.

I think you're overstating things. Last I'd heard, Capcom had only shipped 1.1 million copies, and the shipment before that had only amounted to 50,000.

In any case, I hazard to guess it's name recognition and better gameplay.

How many Dead Space fans are there on the Wii? What about RE?

Dead Space Extraction had ads all over VGChartz, Gamespot, IGN, etc...

It's not as if the game had no advertising at all.

It clearly has to do with RE being a well known franchise that had already found success on the Wii compared to Dead Space who's combined PS360 sales totals only outsold Umbrella Chronicles by 300k.

RE is bigger + Japanese > Western

Franchise.

Resident Evil is more popular among Wii owners than Dead Space.
