Forums - Sales - Will you buy the new Prince of Persia game?

Having said that, one PoP2008 was enough, and I wouldn't buy a sequel, so I'd prefer that PoP:TFS would be in the style of the SoT trilogy, which is far more likely.

I really don't understand people's hate of PoP2008. It wasn't BRILLIANT or anything, but it was a solid game, with great graphics, a nice soundtrack, some good platforming, and an interesting approach to combat. The "puzzles" left something to be desired and combat, except with bosses was a bit shallow. Also, it was FAR too easy. No part of that game even bordered on reasonably difficult.

Other than that, though, it was enjoyable.

WHAT COMBAT??? WHAT COMBAT ???? you fight the same 4 bosses 3 time for the love of god, 3 of them can be killed the same way everytime i never used more than one combo in the entire game and 9 of the fights are the same, oh and dont mentions the guards that appear once in a while in the game because if you are fast you can kill them before they appear.

everytime the prince lands on something it sound like a sack of sh1t hitting the floor, and there is no music most of the time and very few sound effect so the sound of him landing is what you hear most of the time, is all silence and then... PLAT PLAT

The combat is poor because the fantasy world PoP 2008 is based on DOESN`T have many monsters, the story focuses on the bosses and the GOOD that is invaded by EVIL.

I think the new game will be more enjoyable foe you,Ubisoft can`t do the same thing twice. Every PoP game is a little different than the last one.

and pop2008 is the bbest game i have played this gen so far
everything is great about it, the music, combat, environment, story etc.
i may buy another copy of it(sealed)

Were you playing on mute? Because my Prince of Persia had a fantastic soundtrack, and I can't recall a single occasion where there was no music playing.

You could use the same combo every time, yes, but it's more satisfying to do the combat without thinking, I find. Just press whichever button you think would work best. The game isn't difficult, so you can do that. True, the bosses were all basically the same, but they had their own individual styles of fighting.

The focus isn't supposed to be on combat, anyway. It's very much a platformer, with a bit of fighting thrown in to ease the repetition. It was a rather repetitive game, I'll admit.

Maybe when It's $20 or less. I still have yet to finish the 360 one.

I remember buying it and not even a month later it was on sale for $30. Plus Gamefly, Target and a whole slew of retailers had it for $15 or less 4 months after It's release. I'll play the waiting game next time.

It's just that simple.

PLAY POP? IN 2010!? LET'S SEE IF WE CAN FIT IT IN:

Final Fantaxy XIII
Heavy Rain
Gran Turismo 5
God of War III

Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Other M
Pikmin 3
Zelda Wii (here's hoping)

Alan Wake
Halo Reach
Mass Effect 2
Fable III
Splinter Cell:Conviction
NATAL LAUNCH

POP has got to be a hell of a game for it to sell well next year. Next year's going to provide TOUGH competition.

(Notice I left out many great games in my list. It could be a lot longer)

PoP 2008 missed the fundementals that made the PoP series special on the PS2. I finished the game, but didnt enjoy it, too reprtitive and they pulled out the best action of PoP(assasination skill). If it returns to its roots, i'll consider it

I will definately get it. I hope it's like the Sands triology, those were the best. The new one wasn't bad, but i didn't like the combat too much, it was so dumbed down >>
