The sales will maybe go down a little next week but after that they will start to pick up as Christmas gets closer.

Holiday effect? Well I expect ps3 sales to go up to around 60k this upcoming week in north america.

Well his proof is that there is a sales spike, so maybe you should reconsider your post. I Suppose that the 400$ sku won't make the ps3 sell more than 80 k next week. Mainly because americans won't feel pushed to buying a pricier model that might run out and be discontinued. So it'll be rather big but nowhere near the Wii.

the 40gig will be like the one in euro, it will do bad, but acctually bost the 60 and 80gig sales.

i predict 80gig (and 60 gig untill phased out) to do well next week and through the holidays, but not the 40gig.

I mean sales don't RANDOMLY go up to 40K + from BELOW 30K for like many weeks...

If we look at old chartz from previous years, spike in sales due to "holidays effect" starts 2 November, so basically it is starting.
It is going to be very interesting from now up to mid January.

I disagree. The 40 GB has better chances in America than in Europe, and it won't boost the other models considerably. Reasons:

1- The 40 GB model will have better value in USA relatively to the other models. In Europe, the 60 GB model includes extra stuff - an extra controller and 2 games.

2- The boost that you're seeing in Europe sales on the 60 GB model is happening because it had a price cut, and also because it's getting discontinued, so people are afraid of losing BC forever!
