Looks like its getting more and more possible as time goes on 
Since Carl asked me personally to weigh in on it, I'd say I don't think its very likely, for a few reasons, I don't see the PS3 breaking 200K even with FF13 in Japan, you're just asking for too much with that, I don't see PS3 doubling its sales yoy, again seems like too much, and I don't see it outselling last years 360 figure by nearly 200K, again seems like too much.
Its possible, but I don't see it as likely.

for a comparison Wii between November 25th 2007 to April 5th 2008 sold 8.5 Million, So PS3 would have to do a little more than 80% as well as Wii did back then
