By my expectations which had them at lifetime 4.5-5.5m.They are on par.

But many people were expecting 6-7m.I never thought Halo 3 ODST was ever going to achieve that.

Adding to that MW2's release would have hurt ODST's sales.

As you say it depends what you were expecting. I think it's sold well for what it is, but I guess if you were expecting Halo 3 level sales you'd be disappointed.

I'd be willing to guess, given the relatively small amount of new content and the fact the game's running on a slightly tweaked engine Bungie already had, that it's been a very profitable title. I see it as more of an expansion than a full game, kind of like say Opposing Force for Half Life back in the day, so it's sold really well from that perspective.

It's selling on par with what I expected. It's not a fully realized game. More of an expansion (no, I'm not taking jabs at Halo, if you take the competitive MP into consideration, you can't disagree). Now, Halo: Reach, on the other hand, is going to sell on par with Halo 3 (or maybe even more, who knows).

It's half a Halo game, it should have a ceiling of half of Halo 2/3.

So between 4-5 million is about right.

Considering its just a tweaked version of H3, it is doing spectacular. Bungie has made a fortune on the Halo franchise and Reach will probably see sales on par with H3.

Probably will end up with 5-6 million sold or so. How many shooters have done this so far this gen? Not many and just off the top of my head, the only others to do it that were exclusive are Halo 3 and the Gears series and they aren't real FPS's.

sales will pick up during christmas time and when Halo Reach beta will start so 5.5-6mln is possible.

Saw some fanboys predicing more and others less guess the sales are expected.
