Forums - Microsoft - Anyone miss & remember the old dashboard?

The blades were ok but boring and ugly and I much prefer the new look which I also find easier to use. Easier's not the right word, I find it more pleasant to use.

i agree i dont give a crap about avatars and stuff like that. I would take the blade dashboard back in a heartbeat as long as they still give me 1080p instant streaming and the other worthwhile updates

i personally kinda miss the old dashboard but nxe is so much well organized and has so many options that are at ease to use. i'm have not been complaining since the transaction from old to new.

dam the pic of the dashboard makes me miss it i always will since im thinking of buying a new 360 i will not implement the nxe until i am ready to leave the dashboard

I'm pretty sure every new xbox comes equipped with the NXE. Or current XE, lol. Whichever you would say. I would take increased reliability over the old dashboard though anyday, so I wouldn't try to buy or seek out an older model.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... Miss the blades? You mean that thing that comes up when I hit the Guide button? How can I miss something that is still there?

I guess they want it in your face!

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking this.

I'll be honest that I don't play my 360 much but the last time I did was when it still used the blades which I really liked. I remember my dad did the update and I saw it and just laughed and how bad it looks and functions. Just my opinion but I'll admit I haven't used the new interface that much.

Current Favorites:
Wii - Muramasa, MH3, Metroid Trilogy, RS2, Okami, RE4, COD, Dead Space, Scarface
PC - L4D, TF2, BFBC2, Killing Floor, Aquaria, Warsow, many UDK indie games
Mods - MechWarrior:Living Legends, Star Wars: Galatic Warfare, PVKII, Goldeneye Source, L4D mods
PS3 - Demon Souls, Way of the Samurai 3
Social Modding Club: ModDb | Steam

I think things are easier to find and browse through in the NXE. More at your fingertips.

To back up the two posters in this thread that mentioned that the blades haven't gone anywhere...

I remember it, and compared to NXE it would feel like a prison.

I HATED the old blades interface, horid!
I bought a new 360 last week (brand new) which had the old blades installed, yuk! first thing I did was update it to the latest NXE dashboard!
