It's also a pain in the ass to switch between three different OS's as your brain gets used to one.  It's bad enough going between two different computers with the exact same OS.

I really can't see why there is so much bashing on windows, i have used windows since the version before windows 95 and i have really had no problems with any of them.  I havn't actually got windows 7 yet, im still using vista, and shock horror i really don't have a problem with it.  Maybe because i don't listen to all the hype on the internet and forums about how SH%$ microsoft and vista is.

Meh, I use both OSX and Windows (7/xp) and don't have a problem using either. Outside of school/work, however, I'm sticking with Windows. I play my games on it and I'd rather build my own for less money.

Other than Final Cut Studio, the software I use in school is available on both Windows and OSX anyway so saving up to build a tower and buying the PC version of the software has more potential for me.

How recently are you talking? All i can think of is the slight drop in the US market, but overal a growth?

Aswell as the figures from two days ago where NPD showed that Apple garnered 48% of the U.S. PC industry's retail revenue last month.

I haven't seen anything about a drop in market shares besides the minor US one. With that said, i think Windows 7 will rebuild what Vista lost, and as long as Windows = Games, the Windows PC will always be number one.

A Mac is fine for browsing the web and typing documents. With that a said I don't need a $1000 Mac when a $200 PC will do the same.

Seriously, I don't go around telling Mac people to switch, so don't come into this thread with your anti-Windows rhetoric. You can like what you want. I have been computing since the Apple IIe, I have used MacOS since OS 5. Nothing you say will get me to switch from Windows to Mac (linux maybe - for the challenge). Give it up and crawl back into your cave.

Hey apple stick to MP3 players, something you're good at.

They mainly appeal to my age audience, 18-25. Sometimes slightly over. This audience buys anything apple will throw at them anything with 'i' in it.

They reasoning sometimes is very silly, such as they are the best on the market, they are not evil microsoft, they don't get viruses when downloading illegal porn. So on and so on, nothing about the actual OS interface and how it helps them.
