The only thing they share is 3rd party support, that's it. Their online is different, their controls, their exclusives are different, their community is different.

Soon with Natal, things will be even more different.

Getting the same support from third party doesn't make them the same, the Wii would have gotten it too if Nintendo created a more powerful console.

Playing the PS3 and 360 even the same game is a very different experience.

3rd party support = 80% of what peopel care about... at least.

As for the PS3 being the "Mini PS3."

That's the other Jargon.

Either two things that are that similar are "twins" or one is a "Mini" something else.  Like when Basketball players are reffered to as "Mini Jordans."

It's one or the other.  Be happy with the one you got.

And how is the PS3 a mini 360?

It's PR talk folks, Reggie said stupid stuff, The MS guy is known for saying stupid stupid stuff, now Sony must top it.

Pretty much sums it up quite nicely. NO company is innocent here. No, I'm not justifying this guy's talk, but he isn't alone.

Really, guys... it's no contest - Sony says the stupidest shit, hands down.

From saying people will get a second job just to buy a PS3 and PSP lifting handheld gaming out of some "ghetto" to conjuring up some warped reality of "value" to trying to convince folks that the PSP targets a broader audience than the DS by presenting a list of games that the DS already had or a suitable equivalent as some kind of proof...

Compiling all the things Nintendo and MS have said won't even give them a fraction of the quotables Sony has come up with.

It's very similar yet less successful.

The mini-title is usually affixed to the less successful of the two.

I thank the Wii for not getting all the 3rd party support which the PS2 did, it has allowed me to own a 3rd place console and have no reason to buy the console leader, very nice indeed.

I'll take that as point conceeded.  I'm also guessing that's supposed to be a misplaced shot at me... ignoring the fact that i own all 3 consoles.

It's just I don't get all pissed off for perfectly apt terms because I don't really favor any console manufactuerer and instead take consoles as they are.

Also i'd say the opposite.  I think it's better in that it makes it worthwhile to own more then one console.

Unlike the PS2 era, where PS2 was pretty much all that mattered.  GC and Xbox had good exclusives... but not enough to make it worth it unless you planned on spending a LOT of money on videogames.

I don't mind people having all three, I encourage it since THEY ARE SO DIFFERENT and each bring their own experience. But so do CGI and many other members and but I that doesnt excuse you for calling any console " mini" any other name you choose to give them, owning all three is not a passport to stay whatever you want.

Good to see Andrew House is every bit as optimistic as his predecessor, David Reeves.

Not as lovable, though.

Nope.  What "excuses" it... is it's true based on jargon.

In otherwords... there is nothing to "excuse".

If you aren't rooting for one console, it's an easy thing to see.
