Not a true Battlefield game, but who cares when they still make BF3.
Two AAA games are better than one.
And I already liked Bad Company more than Battlefield 2 (although BF1942 is still the king)

it's called Bad Company for a reason lol. I'm still on the fence about buying this one on PC, mostly because of BF3 (although we only know that it's under development and nothing else) and
the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Any confirmation on that? I mean, I would love for that to be the case, however, I am skeptical that will be the case in this day and age. |
BF2 was not a pc exclusive so using common sense BF3 won't be a pc exclusive

If by 'not a pc exclusive' you are referencing BF2: Modern Combat then you are wrong. |
why? i can buy BF2 modern combat on my 360?
It's not a Battlefield game.
It's a Battlefield: Bad Company game.
This is as logical as complaining because MKWii makes too many changes to the 2D Mario formula.

Can you be more specific and elaborate on that? And anyone else who thinks the same please s well. This worries me. |
ok where to start,
first the classes: becausse that is the most important thing to any battlefield game, and they have been ruined. To start there is only four of them, but they didn't completely get rid of all the other classes, there is scout, engine, medic, and assult. But they have them set in such a way that they are not balanced, and the other classes abilities can be shared amongst all of them...... the scout which should only have the sniper rifle can unlock shoutguns, motor strikes, and c4....., assult has been combined with support, the medic is ok though, but it has been ruined 2 and i'll get to that later, the equipment has been set up like cod. and this totally takes away from the the battlefield feeling.
the weapons: ok first the worst thing for me and the most personal thing for me is they took away the knife... you can no longer take out your knife and run with it, i think that was just the worst, i know for me the knife was important to everyone's loadout and it has beed reduced to to same cod knifing motion as the new melee.(facepalm), all the weapons do high amounts of damage, it is not as bad bas MW2, but its more like cod4, but still that aint no battlefield game, this takes away from the skill, and counter, in previous battlefields the weapon damage system contributed to player skill, if if took someone a wholr clip to drop someone than that person was noob, skilled players like myself could easily get 2 to 3 kills in 1 clip, but now there is 30 rounds, quick burst, kill everything, and it is nothing like battlefield. Also they took away the grenades, they are now like cod as well, they are restricted to a soon as you hit the button you toss it. Snipers still take 2 shots to kill but that can be coped with, and the is no direct difference between assult rifles and smg's. all takes away from the battlefield atmosphere.
Health:1 it's short and 2 there is no indicator, and its auto regen. I hate auto regen. i can see why they hhad it in 1943 because there was no medic in 1943, but the is a medic here so auto regeneration shouldn't exist. Also there is no heatlh bar or number count to tell you how much health you have, which is also stupid, the med pacs in previous battlefield games actually gave you your health back now with no indicator its like they throw a box and you t-bad the hell out of it to clear your cloudy screen?? it's really dumb. I think if they were going to go they route that should have done it like knillzone 2. have a health bar that doesn't regenerate until it has reached a certain point and when it gets there it only regenerates to the half way point, this makes med pacs still useful. they did however bring back the difib, but the game is so damed bright, you can hardly see the tiny revive indicator on a teammate....
vehicles are ok i guess, alot more resistant to damage, but not insanely over power, good teamwork can make up for it.
more or less the is a call of duty inspired battlefield game really. They really call of dutied it up in this game, which for a hardened battlefield fan has totally ruined it for me, now don't get me wrong it's a good game, new comer will love it, but for the bettlefield faimly that has been yerning for that next true battlefield experience this is not it at all. This game is what cod would be like if it had huge maps and vehicals......
I really hope they stray away form this in the making Battlefield 3(just saying that name feels me with joy
) because if they don't...... i'm sorry guys battlefield is dead.

BF2 Modern Combat is not Battlefield 2.
Similarly, Resident Evil: Outbreak is not Resident Evil.

It's a different series!
Hmm where do I begin.
1. Your complaints seem a bit trivial and over-hyped. It is strictly a personal opinion for you to say that auto-regen is a terrible addition to the game.
2. you are complaining about balancing, graphics, and features in a beta. Have you ever played a beta before? Have you ever dealt with a beta before? This thread shouldn't exist and you could by rights be banned (By EA , not VG Chartz) for this because by accepting an invite to a beta you usually agree to not disclose any information regarding the game on a public forum.
I've never really agreed with that and I am not naive enough to think that the status quota is to never talk about beta games, but you cannot seriously believe the game isn't going to change for the better before release.
