Then Snake wakes up in a cold sweat, in a tent. He zips it open, just in time to realize that not only is he on an alien planet with 3 moons and 2 suns, but giant Giga Bowser is right there, breathing fire, roasting Princess Peach alive. Snake screams "Nooooooooooo!!!!" Credits. Then after the credits you get a bonus 10 minute cut scene of Mario discussing the politics of being a vigilante plumber after the fall of the Mushroom Kingdom, and how this time, it's personal. Then you get a secret code to enter at the web site to unlock a secret trailer for the sequel. The sequel can be either the OP or forest-spirit's idea. They don't need to explain why Peach is alive again either. They can just have a giant gaping plot hole and call it art.

I personally never understood why there is so little sex in the Mario games. He's a goddamn hero that saves the day, princess and kingdom over, and over again. It's completely unrealistic that he does not get laid all the time.

a highly complex story driven mario game of 30 minutes of awesome gameplay (you could add 2 hours of cinematics and make it a 2:30 hour game)  or a non-story Mario game of 6 hours of awesome gameplay

I like it, especially because there are only four levels. It really sucks in NSMBW that you have to play so many levels to see so little cutscenes.

Why do I find resemblance to the current state of the industry in this?

90%, are you serious, I do like a few cutscenes, but that sounds like too much if you ask me.

Pfft, in what sense does that plot have it all? Where's the juicy sex scene?
