Forums - Microsoft - How can i defend a 360 when this happens.. (Lots of cursing)

lol at people talking about how reliable the old cartridge consoles were.
Who cares? They had no moving parts, and couldn't hold a tenth of what a cd could hold.
Time to move on.

Heck, and nobody connects the PS2/Xbox/PS1/X360 failure rates and the sales numbers ? Of course we don't have numbers, apart recent polls confirming a very high failure rate for the 360.

Cmon, I have a SNES, a GC, a N64, a Wii, a DS and a GBA, I bought only one of each of them, and never had any problem, I've travelled a lot with my hardware in my bag. But these are made of nintendium, non ninty platform can't compete.

Damn that sucks man. It would have been better to just get RRoD.

That is NO excuse.

I don't think I am delusional. All I want is new technology that actually is reliable. Is that too much to ask for?

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Shhh! You know you're not supposed to talk about that, 'tis a secret!

It's because they didn't have any moving parts. sega wasn't made with nintendium.. it was made with genesteel.

Don't think GC and Wii are fail proof either. It's only the cartridge based systems which can stand up.

you are unlucky i had my console for 1 and half year and my mic didn't break it still works.

It's not an excuse, it's a tradeoff.

Performance for reliability.

It's possible that consoles could start using cartridges again. Well, really only Nintendo will, because Sony and MS require disc based media as part of their strategy. But, non-disc based media costs a lot more.

I also have a problem with my controller, it doesn't charge, my mic broke so I had to buy that big bulky piece of wireless shit they sell, anyways, my dvd player needed to be changed twice, RROD 2 or 3 times and now my HDD is dead. This thing is the worst POS I've ever had. My PS3 on the other hand is great, nothing wrong with it and the online is free. I'm about to sell the 360 and just keep the PS3 and getting a Wii but ME2 will come out so I'll probably keep it for a little while, damn microsoft.

My favorite games for this gen:

1. Gears of War    2. MGS4    3. Killzone 2   4. Halo 3(Underated by many)      5. Mass Effect

One of my ps3 controllers doesn't turn on. I suspect it's the bundled controller.

Well, it will turn on, if it's plugged in. But otherwise it just flashes infinitely. I think the blutooth died or something.
