Give it a try when you can. If you like Baldur's Gate or any of the old school Bioware games, you'll love it :D

I do love all those you mentioned.

I just played Borderlands first cause I though that since its not an RPG like DA I can finish it faster.

But I am loving Borderlands.

But I will love DA

Well, DA does take a long time to complete, if you go for all the sidequests and extra content :P I did my first playthrough with no guide, on Hard (PC) and did most that I could using only game information, and it took me 80 hours to finish.

I'm starting as an Elf Mage now, but I'll be using a guide this time to actually complete all the sidequests and try to finish the codex, I missed some entries on my first playthrough. I have to get borderlands as well, did you get it for PC or consoles?

Current PC Build

CPU - i7 8700K 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz turbo) 6 cores OC'd to 5.2 GHz with Watercooling (Hydro Series H110i) | MB - Gigabyte Z370 HD3P ATX | Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC BLACK 11G (1657 MHz Boost Core / 11010 MHz Memory) | RAM - Corsair DIMM 32GB DDR4, 2400 MHz | PSU - Corsair CX650M (80+ Bronze) 650W | Audio - Asus Essence STX II 7.1 | Monitor - Samsung U28E590D 4K UHD, Freesync, 1 ms, 60 Hz, 28"

I got it for 360.

Also, DA too for 360.

And yes DA will consume a lot of time. But I will squeeze that baby for everything its worth till she drops.

EDIT - What would you recommend. Play as Warrior or mage first?

It depends on how you want to approach the game. I made a Warrior, but I ended playing almost all the time with Morrigan. Mage's are really cool in this game, and you have tons of strategic approaches with a Mage, but bear in mind that there are a lot of single character missions in this game that can be a pain to do with only a mage.

controlling the mage in your group is easy mode,( I ended doing that for the last boss when my character was actually a warrior).

The main reason being you can't really set good tactics for ae spells...

My archdemon strategy was to put up threaten on my MC, have him bashing the AD and get morrigan and wynne casting Tempest, Inferno, Blizzard, Fireball and Chain Lightning from afar xD My MC having 30% resist everything just sucked it all up, and ended up defeating AD without touching my MC

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

@Darth

You can get the acceptance of both the Werewolves and the Elves if you play your card rights and if you have at least one point in Coertion talent

I had a rogue a board ans sword and the 2 mages. I had morrigan casting cone of cold and freezing the AD nonstop while everyone else was beating on him and wynne healing. When the masses of adds started spawning i cast tempest on one saide and blizzardon the other, that took care of the huge masses of people. I think a bunch of important people died for me, like Irving, the dwarf general, and the guy from redcliffe.
