DS at 28 million in Japan and still selling so much, really unbelievable, it is such a beast

I think the DS can reach 40 million in Japan alone when all is said and done.  It's pretty amazing, really.

That would be VERY big...probably too big.

It would need at least 2-3 years selling at 60-70k weekly, and that IMHO is impossible for many reasons, one of which is the new Nintendo's Handheld (even if it has the DS name in it, if it's a new hardware ).

33-34m or even 35m seems a more probable end for DS numbers.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Ok 35 million then.  But I don't see Nintendo releasing a new handheld for a good long while.  Maybe another revision or two.

Could very well be a bigger hit than PSP Go even though It's a good system, I can't wait to get my hands on this beast next year.

It will surely be a bigger hit than PSPgo saleswise. I cannot imagine this selling worse.

PSPgo had similar lines.. they are misleading, but its still a very good sign.

Just I don't understand why buy a DSILL when its a much larger handheld? Usually the smaller the better.. atleast imo.. (not saying screen size, I'd prefer a PSP GO over a PSP 3000 anyday, since its the same of an itouch)

Of course, usually the DS sales in japan are huge, usually around 60,000 each week but it's less now due to people holding on to the DSi LL, I can see it selling over 55,000 week one or even more.  It will be massive when DS tops 120 million.  I think it can only do about 118 million this christmas.

First Japanese shipment for LL is evidently the same as GO's was (150k) btw.

Yes. The difference is that this one will most likely actually sell out it´s first shipment quite fast whereas PSPgo will see a long time coming before a second shipment is needed.

I'm sure DSiLL will sell 150k in less than a month, while psp Go still hasn't sold 1/3 of its first shipment in 3 weeks.
