So your reasoning is they don't make sense... What about every RPG EVER CREATED.

Sidequests are fun, those minigames in OoT were awesome, and a great diversion from the main game. They are somethign extra you don't even have to do if you don't want, but I like having all those hidden heart pieces and bottles to go looking for.

Remember, YOU are the one who put in the name at the start of the game YOU decide how you will play the game, YOU go out of the way rounding up chickens while Zelda has been captured. Want to go straight to saving Zelda because she is "more important" go ahead, skip the sidequests, it's your game. I for one will enjoy all the sidequests while you skip them because they "are so out of place".

This isn't a mindless shooter like Modern Warfare where you go from point A to point B, this is an adventure game.

No, the exploration element does not need changing. Other stuff needs change! *facepalm*

I LOVE ICELAND!

They haven't said anything about changing exploration - it soundns more like they may start blurring the line between oevrworld and dungeon, like what they did with the Yeti's Mansion in Twilight Princess.

Yes, and the original Zelda was an adventure game and it wasn't chock full of sidequests in fact the only thing you had to do was collect heart containers, which is a good idea anyways.

Sidequests don't add to the adventure feel of the game, they are out of place and are just here for fluff, take them out and put in more dungeons
