So Famtisu still estimates FF XIII to have a maximum of 1.5 M Life time copies sold with a first week between 1.01-1.31 million copies sold.

That certainly is a fairly modest FFXIII guestimate. I supposed there aren't many precedents this generation for home console games selling gangbusters (in Japan).

FWIW, and we've said this before, 1-1.1m week one for FF XIII is looking about right judging by current preorder rates... and it will be massively frontloaded just like all big PS3 games in Japan so 1.5-1.6m lifetime (exclusing budget releases, international versions) also seems about right.


If it only does 1-1.1m first week then it is a bomb (in Japan) and will have to somehow make up for that million of lost sales in the West. I guess PS3's low install base will play a bigger role in the game's sales than I thought.

   I hope it will crawl to at least 2m. LTD in Japan with various re-releases and inevitable 360 version.

I say you are underestimate the sales by 50%, and you can quote me on that
