Forums - Nintendo - do u want the next zelda game for the wii, to continue the mature theme ?

I wish Nintendo would make a spiritual successor to Majora's Mask. Not directly related to the game, but the concept of branching out and doing amazing new things with their ideas.

Then again a more literal sequel to Majora's Mask wouldn't be so bad. It is by far my favorite game of all time in every respect after all!

Well you're obviously not a Zelda fan, so your opinion means little here, bud.

Anyway, I don't care about the theme of the Zelda game. But what I AM hoping for is a whole new battle system. We've been using Ocarina of Time's battle system for the last 4 Zeldas (about 11 years). I'd like to see a brand new battle system IF it can be pulled off successfully.

Magic battle system!!!

seriously I cant come up with anything for a new battle system... only shigsy or some talented genius can do it and still make it fun...

Isn't that kinda what Darksiders is supposed to be?  Atleast it seemed like it from the first few videos of it I saw.

...

I dont care what art direction they take, both the 'mature' and cell shaded look are great

Pixel Art can be fun.

As I already said above, Miyamoto has already said the next Zelda for Wii will have a whole new Battle Engine completely different from that of Ocarina/Wind Waker/Twilight as well as using WiiMotion+.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

I can't wait for Zelda Wii. That said, I don't want it to be "LOL MATURE. FUCK YEAR!" I want it to be what Zelda is supposed to be; a boy on an adventure, not this adult saving the world nonsense that people seem set on the series becoming.

Okay. I'm going to be murdered now, but..

I think Nintendo needs to adopt a new graphics style that is a cross between Tekken 1 and Virtua Fighter 1/Brain Age. Focusing mostly on light effects/shading and certain characteristics of the landscape.

The triangles need to be partly visible on certain surfaces, and clearly around the endges of all characters sort of like Mario's hat in Mario 64. Fewer, very high resolution textures but very defined characters and environment with a mild focus on the quadriculated effect.

Yeah, keep Zelda what it's always been.

I'll start a petition if I have to!
