MW2 is so far amazing campaign, the snow mission is absolutely better then any FPS game out atm.

I liked the campaign thoroughly. It's the only one I managed to finish. The missions get a lot better also. I would say out of every mission, Hornet's Nest is probably my least favorite. The later missions, especially the ones that take place in the U.S., are fantastic. They really should have made more US based missions, because I enjoyed those greatly.
Edit: I just realized you already passed the first US mission, Wolverines. You really didn't like it? I thought it was fantastic.
Does it help you when I say that I also was slightly dissapointed at about 33% of the game ?
But trust me it gets much better from now on

Funny thing is onyxmeth I am finding once you get killed a few times you know where the AI is going to be.
like the window that opens or the guy on the roof.
I just expected more.

Well yeah, but you're talking about most games here. Very few games have randomized AI patterns, and if you couldn't learn from your deaths in a difficulty like Veteran, you'd probably never get anywhere.

I fully agree with your observations but the hype and reviews seemed to say different on the AI with this game.
I mean I feel terrible having done this thread as I have always been a COD fan.
I just expected much more to be honest.
I am not saying that the game is not polished in fact having played a few spec ops online I was very impressed with the amount of detail that had gone into it.
I remember going under the bridge and my partner taking out the enemies with the gunship and seen a tyre rolling down the hill.
I mean sweet details there.
I just find the campaign lacking some what and I say that as a fan of the game.
Well, I'm finding it rather average really. SP is terrible - I mean some of the scenarios and 'moments' are very good, but they echo stuff from CoD4 and I just can't take the story seriously at all - I'm totally not engaged by it.
The MP is good, but feels to me like a slight upgrade rather than anything radical. Also, there seems to be some funky stuff going on with hit detection and the maps seem too small for the amount of air power that constantly seems to be popping up.
TBH I've stopped playing and switched back to other titles while waiting for AC2.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I found the AI to be pretty good. The doors opening, or windows opening are one thing, but in general, If you walk in the same direction, at the same speed, everytime that you restarted a checkpoint the enemies will probably come at you from the same position. But a variation in how you attack the level, will cause a variation in how they respond. That's what I liked about the "defend burger town" mission, I was running all over the map and the battlefield was dynamically changing with where I went. (i know there were scripted events, but even between them, I like to not listen to Foley's orders :p)

I reckon you have echoed a lot of my thoughts there reasonable.
Just not interesting overall is how I felt.
I didnt have any expectations of this game...as I wasn't the biggest fan of COD4.
And my expectations have been met... :)
Helps not to hype things.
