It just seems to me as though the Halo name is being oversaturated. It still has the power to sell millions, but it seems as though there will never be an installment that sells as much as halo 3 did. This could either be because halo 3 sold an enourmous feat for a game, that people have moved onto other game series, or both.
It is obvious halo will remain a microsoft staple, but how long until it's importance is highly diminished? I know that I have just gotten personally tired of the graphical style. To me it's just aged to be a little kiddy. Games like CoD showcase their realism, and I hope halo could do that one day.
So, do you think the halo name is finally starting to see the effects of oversaturation? Have you gotten tired of halo personally?

To be honest I have gotten tired of COD myself... so much so that I decided not to pick up MW2 and get only left 4 dead 2 instead. I beat the campaign and that was enough not to bother with the rest.
COD1 was awesome and brought these scripted events in to gameplay that were kind of new. COD2 was the peak and is still my fave COD game. All the other ones have repeated the exact same gameplay and have introduced "shocking" scenes and events. Gameplay is exactly the same if you trace it back to COD1. But thats my own opinion... as the post you made is your opinion only. Besides, COD games these days tend to paint every person from an English speaking country as hero while everyone that has an accent is a terrorist. I sure hope Halo never has to go that low on the "patriotism" scale. I can't wait for MW3 to come with a side order of Freedom fries.
The bottom line is, you can say one looks more realistic but that hardly makes it fun. There will be kiddies that get excited by seeing real people getting shot and real guns but for the rest of us gameplay is still king.
As far as I am concerned Halo ODST is a more fun game than MW2 especially if you have freinds around. I mean, does MW2 even have split screen online multiplayer? I could be wrong but I don't think it does not...
