The J man got his hands on AC2 yesterday and feels that although he didnt beat it yet , he has played it enough to compare it to its predesesor AC1.
1) The game feels more story-driven.....
In AC1, the assasination targets(which were most of the main missions) felt as though they were just a "villian of the week" , in that they had very little to do with the story and that the story really started towards the end of the game.
In AC2, everything main mission you do feels intertwine with the story and has some meaning to it.....there is more story in AC2's first 2 hours than there is in the whole game of AC.
2) More choices....
AC1 main flaw was that it was redundant, you go in to the city, get information and then kill the target
AC2 feels more like a splinter cell game where that you could tackle any assasination anyway you wanted...in the first assasination I had the choice of either hiring girls to distract the guards guarding my target's party then procede to kill him , or kill an archer atop a roof and throw his body on the ground making guards check it out and then kill my unguarded target,or I could have just jump through the roof and kill him...far more fun than AC1's system.
3)Characters...
Ezio is a 10x better character comapred to Altair , in the fact that he has a personality....so he wins automatically...lol
The only flaw with the game though would be the graphics though......they really havent improved at all but that shouldnt bother you because AC1 was definitely a top 10 in best graphics this gen.
BTW... so far this is the J mans GOTY.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
