Forums - Sales - Can we please re-define the term FLOP

games like forza3,killzone2, and even lbp(not anymore) are seen as flops. when i fact they are selling/sold millions of units, these games have sold the more units than games like mass effect infamous and other games that are seen as sucess, i know they are but we can't call them secess abut call games like forza and killzone flops.

right now the definition of flop is: sell short of expectation. but just because a games sells less than expectation doesn't mean its a flop, can we find a new definiton of flop please. i am sick of games like killzone and F3 begin called FLOPS!

A floating-point operation.

Games that dont bring enough profit to complete the development costs, and after that a fair ammount of additional profit.

A flop should be called a flop if the developers didn't make a profit. If they are in the red after sales...it should be a flop. Same goes for anyone else involved in the game.

That's about as likely as me playing by somebody elses rules, which I would never do. I only play by my own rules, nobody elses...not even my own.

I haven't heard any of those games called flops...

Now GTA: Chinatown Wars on PSP... THAT is a flop by any definition.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

but but but... i thought a flop is a good game on a console that i don't own and i need to call it a flop so i feel better about the console i bought?

now i'm confused, why do we need to change that?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

That's what I thought.

Only fanboys call those games flops , even GTA: Chinatown Wars on PSP is a little to soon to call a flop, maybe its downloading well, i dunno, but if its still at a very low number after the holidays then yes it is a flop

We have 0 ideas of PSN sales.... That and the lack of EU sales are probably the only one that you could possiblt squeeze out of that one
