Forums - Gaming - Braid got an 85 on ps3 vs 88 on 360/PC via IGN

Despite being the SAME exact game according to IGN, virtually no differences at all, the game received a lower score on the PS3? Makes no sense whats so ever..

Different reviewer.

who cares if its a different reviewer? If it is then they should have TWO people review one game and average the score out, its not fair to the PSN game for those choosing between the two, the majority will get the XBL one because of that score.

It's a really late port and they deducted .3. Who cares.

I don't really see the problem... it's just a 0.3 difference after all. Two subjective opinions on one game. And if you actually read the review, you'll notice that there's no difference in quality anyway. Don't be so obsessed with numbers, it got a high score on both platforms, the game is the same ;)

Obviously IGN is biased in favour of the 360 by 0.3

People are undervaluing how much 0.3 is. That's almost 1/3 of 1%, and 1% can be the difference between AAA and AAAA.

I would ask if it's a different reviewer, ask whether that 0.3 is going to affect sales or even makes a difference? A score is not a measure of quality it's a quantification of someone's opinion.

Different reviewer.
Look at the scores in the sub categories. Totally different

3 points mattered a lot for a certain Japanese hack and slash game...

Actually, 0.3 is 3 %. That means that this is a really big deal.

3%!? Wow!! This is unforgivable!!! The guy who wrote the review should be fired! It's plainly obvious that he's a Microsoft fanboy that is bitter about Braid being released in the PS3!

3% is enough to separate the amazing games from the really good games, and the really good games from the pretty good games!!!
