Don't rush anything. Stay on the defensive. Look around, notice what's in the environment. Later on, try getting used to timing counters.

Dream on. It`s no official release date in Europe and probably never will be. Buy it via a UK importshop. That`s what I did, and saw the light a week later. No kidding. This game is one of the greatest games this generation.

Mw2? Never considered it when playing Demon`s Soul`s.

this game is just as hard as you make it yourself - you are normal human in this game (for the first ~100 lvls or so) and not superman, which means, that everything you think could be deadly IS deadly

1.) be patient

2.) use a shield (at least at start), keep it up and study your enemies attack patterns (be wary though, for the blue eyed knights have a guard breaker move with their shield), which of course needs patience

3.) try not to pull more than 2 enemies at once (it's even better to 1on1 every enemy) - if you pull too many run for your life and don't get impatient

4.) every corner is a trap (not really, but it's safer to think so), so advance slowly and carefully

and to answer your question, no I never thought of this game as frustrating - every single one of my deaths was my own fault and happened because I was overconfident and impatient

The knight starts off with more than half of the equip burden full, so you're already slow. The equip burden for you should be 40 total. I don't know what axe you're talking about but it sounds like you went over 40. Go back to your sword.

Also I just used MW2 as an exaple because the game issimple and easy. But I don't like it that much.

I am soul level 96 in NG+. If you want you can add me on PSN and I will give you tips and such if you are stuck. :) But just like others have told u, every fight has to be taken seriously, especially at first. Everything in this game is designed to pwn you. You are always at a disadvantage, do not forget this.

You have to say the enemies are powerful compared to 'me', because the character is just as strong as the player. If you are good, you can say how lowisch they are, trying to stand against you. :p

And as said, take your enemies serious, this is no Devil May Cry where you can rush through. (sounds stupid, but act as you would - if the game would be real. Be fuggin careful, and try to figure out the enemys weakness.)

and if you are teached enough by the game, you can really rush trough - without taking any damage.

(the learning curve is great.)

But take this tips:

- if you dont know what lies ahead, hold your shield up.

- your best Friend is the Circle button.

- be prepared to get hit from behind, and check out every corner of the rooms you enter.

I killed Vanguard my first time playing. I didn't find the game hard at all till I got to Flamelurker and Maneater... Then I find the game easy again. (Before those bosses I found the game too easy) but my disc drive broke so I cant play.

people telling you to trade it in for mw2, well...dont listen to them.

they have never played demon's souls its not only way better than mw2, it is also 10x more challenging.

just take your time and learn from your mistakes. If you get stuck for a long time try grinding on the first few enemies, go back to nexus and spend ur souls. repeat.
