Wtf is that?

The Theme-song of the new Twilight movie, whoops no, it's some ramdom generic song which they are using as the theme-song for FFXIII

What's next? High School Musical 3 songs for DQIX? The Backstreet boys for FFvsXIII?

Go play Brutal Legends. It is already out. Go tell Nobuo Uematsu that you didn't like his song and remember that he is the same guy that composed the hard rock track "Otherworld" for Final Fantasy X. He is just an ecletic guy. Let's learn to appreciate art, independent of gender.

Uematsu didn't do a single song in this game.

True. Shame on me. From wikipedia: Uematsu was also initially going to create the theme song for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII (2009), but decided to hand the job over to the main composer, Hamauzu, after he was assigned to creating the entire score for Final Fantasy XIV (2010).

Forgot what i wrote here : Go tell Nobuo Uematsu that you didn't like his song and remember that he is the same guy that composed the hard rock track "Otherworld" for Final Fantasy X .

I can't say I agree with the TC here, but I can see his point. I don't think it's quite as ridiculous as all of you are saying it is, because to many people (me included), music is a very important part of the gaming experience. Particularly the main theme, since that's the song that's supposed to embody the entire game in just a few minutes. When you think "Main theme", you think of epic sounds like the main themes of Zelda, Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VII (Personally I think this game in general is overrated, but the music sure as hell isn't).

The main theme is important, people. If this song really is the main theme, I can see why it'd turn a few longtime-fans off. But hey, maybe I'm just a weirdo?

I know. He decided that Hamaszu was doing a great job and that Uematsu did not need to help in that respect.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Let's put it like this - I'd buy a new Zelda if you have fiddy rapping all the way across Hyrule field. I doubt that some RnB is going to stop FF13.

Talking about Zelda, remember how Ocarina of time didn't have the original theme song? Look how that turned out...

@majin

for gods sake, not you too

THAT is the MAIN SONG

the MAIN THEME is different to the MAIN SONG

jeez

When your remember FF10 & FF9 do you remember the SONG's (sute ki da ne & melodies of life) or the games MAIN THEME's?

Main theme does not equal main song

& besides the games main song is the japanese one (dear my friend), which has grown on me like chicken pox

I think people are blowing this out of per portion. Anytime they translate something they start fuming. Have you ever listened to J-Pop/K-Pop artists like Utada Hikaru and BoA? They completely emulate R&B in their music. Actually American R&B is highly popular over there.

I believe the song will fit just fine with the game. FFXIII, might have some flaws, but this song is NOT one of them......
