There's no denying that Modern Warfare remains one of the best shooters available, both in single and multiplayer, but releasing a technically crippled version two years later on Wii is a curious decision. The controls are far from the best, and no amount of menu sliders can mask the fact that the game just doesn't feel at home on Nintendo's platform.

Although still passably entertaining much of the time, stood next to other shooters on the Wii it doesn't even come close to matching the look and feel of games designed specifically for the system. The new market Activision is presumably seeking may end up wondering what all the fuss was about in the first place.

This game is certainly better than waw wii.

The game got an 9 for the HD consoles and just because it's on the wii it's a 6. They aren't even pretending to be objective.

Ok I don't really care about review because i got my on mind but these reviews on this CoD4 game for the wii are fucking crazy. Finally and I MEAN FINALLY the wii got a GREAT FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE FPS shooter on the wii with good graphics and the best (beside the FC and no DLC) online gameplay and ppl are saying that its ok, you can find better FPSs on the wii. WHERE!!!!!!????? The wii doesn't have many and the ones that are good are what, Cod WaW. Thats it! The Conduit graphic engine is very good and the control is too but the game it self isn't. This game is what i was waiting for in a FPS for the wii for a long time and its great! Whats wrong with the reviews? At least an 8 in my book.

Rather vague statement for something that is apparently a fact.  Doesn't belong, what does that even mean?  Anyway I'd like to say I care about Eurogamer's opinion but in the end I really don't.

i am not a fan of shooters or even the wii and to be honest the use of the wii controller makes it pleacent experience , i really want to see integration of the motion sensing controller sony is releasing with modern wawrfare 2, i dont mention natal because i am ignorant of the use of this tech , since the ps3 is almost like wii i can say it would be great

It sounds weird as they say it doesn't belong on nintendo's system. Really? Why not?

There's so much crap there about what's "Right for the wii" it seems a bit silly.

I think that they are trying to say that MW Reflex is inferior to the real version and not only graphic wise.

Only minigames belong on the Wii, Call of Duty is HD property only.

And in one sentence, you have summed up the mindset of this entire generation.
