Forums - Nintendo - Dynamic Slash returns with 4 player online co-op. Feb 11 Japan releasedate

I wish I could be confident that this game was going to get localized for sure, but we all thought Disaster localization was a shoe-in for similar reasons...

I live in hope, but there are lots of other games I can play if this one doesn't make it over the ocean.

unlike disaster, this game appears to have had a smooth development

I don't know- NOA is oblivious a lot of the time. I don't have any faith in them whatsoever.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

NoA can do what they like really.. If you guys really want the game then import it, it'll most likely come to PAL regions anyway.

Won't come to America ever. Don't get too excited guys.

Disaster was decent, but not great. Hopefully this is class and we get to see it in EU.

Yes.

www.spacemag.org - contribute your stuff... satire, comics, ideas, debate, stupidy stupid etc.

The issue in both of those cases, of Disaster and Fatal Frame, were issues of quality. Reggie did speak out rather strongly that he felt Disaster was low quality (and whether or not that was true can be debated, but at least we know where the reason comes from), and we know about the game-breaking bugs of Fatal Frame that neither Nintendo nor Tecmo wanted to take responsibility for in a potential localization

If this game is of reasonable quality, i see no reason why NoA wouldn't do it, though the "quality" debate is a very subjective one, so we could be denied what we would consider a quality game, but they would not

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The whole "quality" issue strikes me a bit odd. NoA (cant peak of NoE) licenses hundreds of utterly crap games, yet a decent one does pass the test. You could say that NoA has stricter 1st party quality control, but lately that hasnt been all that true. Remember that Nintendos Offical Seal of Quality no longer exists.

I personally believe that quality control should be either equally distributed, or left for the consumer to decide.

@Soriku: NoA hasn't published a single M rated game this gen, and after Brawl, they haven't published a single T rated game. MPTrilogy, but that were simply ports, they didn't bother bringing any of the other games released in Japan or Europe. I doubt they will publish this game now, which is an M rated game that is very niche and which genre isn't liked in the USA.

@dib: Lol I remember about FFCC:CB and I accepted defeat. Although it was weird they only showed a clip in 2 years, looked like the game was vaporware.

Talking about Dynamic Slash, the game wasn't shown at E3. All we ever saw was a 3 second clip in October 2008. I can't understand why you believe this game has the potential to sell on par with SSBB. This game is M rated, niche (hack n' slash is niche in the West) and it's getting released on a platform that is being known for not buy this kinds of games in Japan. Plus it's a new IP, it's from a small dev and it's gonna get stealth released without any hype behind it or advertisement, just like the majority of the smaller IPs from Nintendo themselves on the Wii for the entire gen. I would bet anyone, this game won't sell more than 100k LT.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

I'm sure D3 would publish it if they could, they brought over edf and onechanbara, stupid nintendo hoarding stuff like this and fatal frame, developing a game for the single purpose of not allowing it to see worldwide release is beyond me
