OT:  Did you speak to the actual manager or an employee?  The commercial itself states it lasts till the 13th, and every manager I spoke to confirmed this.  They also said they would be getting at least 2 more shipments not counting the one they got on Saturday AFTER the deal started.

@People still calling this a $99 Xbox 360... seriously, stop.  This is not a $99 Xbox.  It is a $199 Xbox with a gift card.  If you want to be 100% technical it is a $199 Xbox 360 60GB (if you use the gift card on the upgrade pack).  So it's sort of like a Pro for $50 off.

Hmmm, I did not ask for managers, just whoever picked up the electronics section phone... I could call again and see...as long as people promise to stop saying I have no life because I can pick up a cell phone.

For what its worth. This puts an end to the discussion whether or not a price drop will help the Xbox 360. Clearly the demand is still there.

Well said.  If this sale that didn't even actually lower the cost of entry on the 360 boosted sales at Walmart 400%.  Imagine what an actual Xbox 360 Arcade at $99 everywhere would sell... That'd be insane numbers.

we even though i think the demand is there, I think long terms sales will show it better because as you can see: alot of people are buying just to put it up on ebay

idk y VGC news article says

"With the latest news that the promotion is expected to continue through to the 15th November, we expect that sales will be higher still next week"

i also think it was a one day thing as i noted in the news article and another thread

maybe the box will be higher than the ps3 in NA for the next 2 weeks but theres 4 week in this month
